| The M/S Royal Viking is a Five-Star Deluxe Nile cruiser that was built and went into service in 2009. It is a luxury ship filled with up-to-date amenities and a staff that will accommodate your every request. The restaurant features a diverse menu serving both buffet and ala carte meals. The lounge is beautifully designed and includes a full bar, light meals for lunch and dinner, nightly music, a wooden dance floor and a separate sitting area with a big screen television. If you're looking for amenities to relax or be pampered there is a spa with massage service, sauna and exercise equipment and the sun deck with padded wooden lounge chairs, a plunge pool, a shaded sitting section and daily bar service.
The accommodations of the Royal Viking are spread among decks one through four and include 66 standard cabins each measuring approximately 250 square feet and 4 Royal suites measuring 430 square feet. The standard cabins are tastefully decorated with wood paneling and art. All standard cabins feature one king/queen or two twin beds, individual climate control, french balconies, panoramic view windows, LCD TV with satellite channels, mini fridge, safety deposit box, and a dressing table with fold-in mirror. The teak floor bathrooms have both shower and bath tub, stainless steel sink, hair dryer and an electrical outlet for shavers.
The Royal Suites share the same features as the Standard cabins but are nearly twice the size with a separate, larger sitting area. The Royal Suite bathrooms have a jacuzzi tub, a marble sink and a window to the cabin that becomes tinted by the flip of a switch. But it isn't just about the features of the Royal Suites, it is also about the extra services including a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit basket upon arrival, 24 hour concierge service, a daily shoe cleaning service to remove the dust and dirt from a long day of touring and much more.
The dress onboard would be considered casual to country club casual with a request to not wear shorts at dinner or the Captain's Reception.
